Induction Year: 2008

In just its second year as members of the Texas Conference, the McMurry men’s basketball team claimed the league championship. The team had a season record of 12-1 and extended its Conference win streak to 20 games over two years!

Among the team’s accomplishments was setting a victory margin record by defeating Austin College by 66 points (80-14).

Individually, Jim McKenzie and Francis Smith were first team All-Texas Conference selections, while Bob Curry was a second team pick. Curry set a season scoring record with 212 points.
